warped_candykid Should I go with Intel or AMD?
Samination as someone who has used virtualdj since 2003, when i had amd but switched to intel around 2008... it doesnt matter?

Live audio processing, unless you wish to unnecessary record it at 192kHz and 32-bit or higher, doesn't really take that much CPU power. It would be everything else like using OBS to record and/or stream and using video effects on it.

Well, if I have to be honest, I don't know how latest VDJ works, but I doubt the CPU really matters between 7.x (which is the version I still use) and the newest. I'd say having enough RAM matters more. So if you intend to record or stream video at the same time, I'd rather make sure I have 16GB of RAM. (for the record, I'm using an Intel i5 gen 6)
Smoogie No idea but I just done a 3 hour Hard House set with tracks so good they would make UK Hardcore blush
Triquatra Brand doesn't matter, specs/performance does. You're going to be disappointed if you get an Intel Celeron instead of an AMD Ryzen - just as you are going to be dissapointed if you buy an AMD Athelon and not an intel i7.

You buy the best bang for your buck within your budget!

AWal VDJ runs on computer from a decade ago or more easily.

I've ran it on a laundry list of computers over the years. Probably the worst experience was a single core 800MHz Celeron with 512MB of RAM...The tracks didn't load in real-time, but the interface was surprisingly still usable.

The more potato your computer is, the more molasses your VDJ experience will be.

Atomix recommends an Intel Core i5 and 4GB of RAM, but it will definitely run on less than that.

If you plan to stream/broadcast video from the same computer the requirements to do that will exceed the requirements of VDJ.
Samination I remember trying to stream from Winamp on Shoutcast on a Cyrix M2 233Mhz. It lagged like a mofu
LeVzi Ryzen all the way.

Especially the new Ryzen 5's that are coming.
