Smoogie We all remember those days. You get on the bus and then two chavvies get on and start playing the latest download from a filesharing site that someone sent them on MSM which happens to be a sped up version of a pop dance hit with some acapellas thrown in on their Sony Erikson which is 'totally banging' and 'sick tune, bruv!'

It was DJ Rankin but it seems that after the whole hype went down someone finally gave him a chance and he seems to produce properly nowadays.

Not really my thing but he has stayed close to his routes. A Happy Hardcore/ Eurotrance combo. I think that DJ Cammy is still around as well

Oh he seems to have done an actual remix of his old Favourite 'Fly with you' as well.
Samination Rankin owns a ****ing club, so it's obvious he's around.

Did he ever come forth and confirm that the Rankin vs Akon schtick was fake or not?

What club?
warped_candykid It was going around the States too back in the day

They would brag about Rankin's mixes/tunes
I'd take listen and it was just 130-140 trance tunes being played at 180.
Guess it was "nightcoring" before Nightcore was a thing

so true.. just had flashbacks.. explained perfectly lol
Captain Triceps I remember early 2000s when DJ Rankin was almost considered as some evil villainous being who needed to be destroyed, rather than a young kid messing around with sounds on his PC.

Who was then overtaken by Nightcore

@bounce: I thought he owned a club. was it just that he hosted events?

It was so much worse. Random samples slapped over the tunes not even in sync.

'this one goes out to DJ Cammy'

I miss a lot from 2006 but I could have done without Rankin and 'deh crew' blaring out of everyone's phones
