Midway_raver hey, i just been reading thru teh formums ( agen!!) and i noticed that i found myself feeling sorry 4 some of teh peeps in the US. They are lucky that they have happy hardcore n jungle etc but they have missed out on seeing the scene progress from it's roots in acid house etc all teh way thru old skool hardcor einto jungle/drum n bass and happy hardcore free form they have just ended up with teh overall products of the UK's (big us up) willingness to try new styles and experiment with them...so sorry all u yanks but u misse dout on sum orf the best years when all teh transition into teh diff styles were gooing on i.e 94 etc. Wot do u guys thinks?

Brian K ummm, well growing up near chicago i pretty much got the whole evolution of house...techno coming from detroit, and with friends that lived overseas and sent me tapes from radio shows, i really dont' think i missed much =P

never really heard any happy hardcore over here until 96, but that's also due to the fact that i live in bfe. i'm sure if you lived on one of the coasts you would probably hear stuff a lot more frequently.

i think it really depends on how early/late you've come into raving too...

Midway_raver i dont really no it all very varied and most of it is good happy hardcor ei just no dat alot of people in the usa like trax by scooter n i think if alot of stuff was produced liek that , weva they uk based or not, it cant b good, but i av herd a lot of positive hhc coming out of n america alot of it is very cheesy just how i like it
