I personally use a balance of the two. AKAI sampler, Midi keyboard, and PC with software (Reason, Acid Pro, Bitheadz Retro, and VST5). It is just as easy to all of your sampling on a computer nowadays, but i started off with hardware, and so i'm used to using a hardware sampler.....
