M.C Menace Me and my partner in happy hardcore(DJ Taylor) where doing a private party for a friend. He was mixing and i was MCing. It was a good night. At the end of it someone came up to me and said my style was good but it was to hip hop. Is there a big diffrence???????

silver bah... if it sounds good I don't care :)

you, me and hardcore forever.
Don Giovanni I wouldn't worry so much about what u would lable your style as.

All i have to say is a good MC can roll out the origional rhymes non-stop, but should know when to shut up too, so he isn't covering up all the lyrics the track...

Remember an MC is supposed to add to the music, not take away from it...
there are many MCs out there, few of them (at least hear in Noth America) seem to be able to master this.

Annex i'm going to have to agree :)

it's nothing personal against MCs or anything.... it's just the majority (NOTE: not the VAST majority)... i find annoying

just be careful... time yourself carefully.. and for the love of god, remember an mc's job revolves SO very much aroound quality, NOT quanitity

Midway_raver Me n my Mc Ville have a good understanding now:) he knows teh trax i drop well noes how too shut up yet get people rushing:) hes not teh most talented lyricist out ther en i wudnt want himt o be he just a true raver @ heart n love sthe scene n sez what he feels:) I think theres nuffink worse ( part from when storm doe sit) when mc's make up massive sayings using the same bleedin rhyme i.e harmony,. unity, xtc ,. energy, equality , all in one ryhme:S

Like a bolt of lightning it's so frightning..Get ur brain now we're igniting
MC RizlaDizla For me i try to have diffrent styles in my mcing and try to be a differnt as possible.

plus have a good mixture of lyrics and free stlying. i also have some lyrics or rhymes that the crowd can go along with or shout out to. o and tyy and keep your lyrics orignal coz i hear allot of the same words said all the time, which can get boring after a while.

Erm the hip hop style, i fink that all depends on the hardcore at the time.

"Oh my goodness, Oh my Gosh. Here we go with a badboy rush."
"Oh my goodness gracious me, Badboy Dj, Wikkid Mc."
DJ Mouse i can't mc for the life in me,think i'll just stick to the decks

M.C Menace Thank you to everyone who answered. I'll take all your advise and use it.

So drop that beat in time.
Drop that beat and fly.
So come fly. Fly with me.
Come fly and you will see.
