DJ Specimen I finally made an electro mix, then I was just in the mood for some dubstep towards the end.

Feedback is greatly appreciated, positive or otherwise.

tru bass Really didn't like the first song..

at all..

Loved that song at around 13 minutes that is dubstep influenced electro basically.. vey nice.

The transition between electro and dubstep wasn't very smooth, but i would assume that has something to do with the relatively terrible sound quality of the dubstep song. is it a youtube rip or something?
the dubstep mixes aren't very smooth as well.. i'm not the biggest fan of that type of dubstep though so I have an instant negative view (although that type of dubstep slots in nicely with the electro).
Mixing these genres is pretty fookin hard with the huge differences in tempo and shit so i'm not surprised mistakes were made. I enjoyed the mix anyway, that's the important thing.
DJ Specimen Thanks a lot ^^

Yeah the transition to dubstep made me die a little inside, I really just wanted to listen to the song so I threw it in. Then that transition was so bad I tried to fix everything by getting set me on fire in there, when that didn't work I decided to call it a night. The sound quality of the whole mix is probably fairly low considering it was peaking on both traktor and audacity. I couldn't get the line in quiet enough to fix it on the audacity end, and didn't notice in traktor until mid mix.
tru bass ah that's pale, I would like to hear some more mixes like that though.. I think it's a really good idea mixing dubstep with electro house.
are you planning on doing anymore?
DJ Specimen I am. I'll spend some time figuring out the electro -> dubstep ratio. It's come to my attention that people in my area don't like hardcore, so I'm going to try and get some gigs playing electro and hopefully it goes well. Maybe I can even start making some money to buy real equipment... I did that mix on a Numark Stealth with Traktor LE.
