Archefluxx Hardly.

Soundcloud has NEVER been profitable. Nor has Spotify.

Soundcloud has gone 10 years being funded and it will certainly be snapped up by Spotify before it disappears.

However, this is the first shaking indication of a shut down. Soundcloud is vital to the industry, and it's troublesome if we lose it. Simply put, ehat alternative social music platforms are there?
Future_Shock Wait what happened?
Samination old discussion tbh.
Heck, there is even a bunch of swedish articles about the money being completlely out in 50-80 days (soundcloud was mostly a swedish project, just like spotify)

Archefluxx But Soundcloud has never turned profit, and thus, it's living on borrowed time.
ultraskool myspace.com had a social music platform going on for a while, I think it changed its format. There are others like Mixcloud, DjFez etc

There's also the paid ones like spotify and Grooveshark??
Elipton DJFez has gone to the big server in the sky :(
Guest just use youtube

there are plenty of file hosts if you want to hand out free tracks with the flac and wav

get http://www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/ if you just want to select a audio file and a picture to make a .MP4 for youtube, there is no messing around
Si Thompson Soundcloud is still here, granted it's shite, but still it's going.
