Hi guys i'm new to this website, joined a while back but never really been active, i'm not a UK hardcore producer, although i do mix it.
i'm actually a Makina producer.
Hardcore and Makina arent too far apart from each other so i thought id join up here and maybe meet some new people and learn some new skills.
I'm singed to the UK makina label Monta Musica.
I've been producing since 2012 and funnily enough, i grew up listening to hardcore and going to the raves, but when i wanted to start producing i struggled getting started and learning the basics, my friend was a makina producer so i decided to start making that in order to learn how to make hardcore but i ended up falling in love with makina haha.
To this day i still have never made a hardcore track haha. maybe that will change someday.
Oh and if ive confused anyone Makina is spanish hardcore :D

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Yea, DJ's has been spinning each other's genre since at least mid 90's. I have known of Makina since around 2003 and I have been spinning it myself in my sets since atleast 2007, and in general all my sets since 2011.
Sadly I haven't checked out any of your stuff yet. what I gather from a few of your samples, your predominantly making pre-2000 sound Makina? |
