Samination Anyone know if Sharkey sampled Sound Assassin based on the Rare game "Wizards & Warriors" for the Nintendo 8-bit system, or both in fact samples something else (like an old English theme song or something)?

I think this might have been completely accidental, but a vocal remix of the Wizards & Warriors theme has a similar style on how he is singing, just like on the vocal mix of Sound Assassin:

DJ_FunDaBounce Pretty well may have. Though I also think that chord progression is pretty common in classical music.
Missingno Pretty curious indeed. I think there are a lot of compositions of Makina and UK Hardcore music entirely based or, at least, inspired on videogame music. The vocal OC Remix is indeed suspiciously similar to Sound Assassin (Vocal Remix), but I also think that this is mere coincidence (it is highly unlikely that the OC Remixer based in a so rare song as Sound Assassin to produce the remix of Wizards and Warriors, taking advantage of the fact that they have the same sequence of chords).

In this case I agree with DJ_FunDaBounce when he says that this chord progression has been commonly used on music. I would also add that this is not only the case of classical music, but also in modern music, such as the well-known song "I Will Survive":
