Gonzo0 I know theres not a lot of love around here for the stonebank sound but this remix of your shining is a belter... Production quality is right up there IMO:

Shame its one of those gems never released.
The drunken scotsman Sounds identical to every other tune of his and exactly what I imagined when I saw this post. I don?t get it.
sterichie26 I'm with thedrunkenscotsman on this one, just dont get it personally. Whenever i see "Stonebank"remix i automatically know how its going to sound to be honest.
LeVzi I had a quick shifty on soundcloud to Stonebank and the bloke needs to move away from that lead sound / style. It was quite funny to hear the exact same thing rehashed every time lol

He's got a good production style, just is stuck in a loop with his leads and melodies.
Captain Triceps The original is a stone cold classic. Only the Scott Brown remix from back in the day was worth a damn.
I cant believe its pushing 20 years old now!
SparkzMusic It's definitely the same old. As I mentioned in another thread, I don't mind that sound in small doses.

Good sounding strings, nice plucky arp. The lead sound is ok now and again.

The huge problem with that overall sound is how it's cloned to the death over and over.

In UK hardcore days the sound was that trancey influenced stuff. Different labels and artists did their own take on this sound. RB stuff had the same trance influences as stuff on Essential Platinum or whatever, but in many ways had different types of leads, percussion and so on.

Now, you might as well call "Stonebank" a genre as so many people clone that exact sound. Same lead, same percs, same break end drop. Pointless
Si Thompson Not a fan of those leads. It seems everyone is using them now. This is why i don't like 99% of current UK Hardcore material.
Ravine I remember Breezy playing it for the first time about 2 years ago at a HSU event in Sydney. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.

However, I spoke to Stonebank and he said the biggest complaint is that the drop doesn't start with the vocal "you make me slide away" and goes for the more conventional format of no vocal drop for the first 16 and vocals come in after. As we all know, the original is straight into the vocal and that made it special.

So I dunno lol. I love it still.

Stonebank remixes, can you tell the difference between the 2?
SparkzMusic Lmao. The less said about Ravine, the better, although ring and nosing said ring comes to mind.

Breezy. I think I pissed myself laughing 2bh.
The drunken scotsman I remember when Breezys bum chum C-Kay used to post on here. A total welt that took exception to any negative comment about his buddies 😂

You could say that about pretty much anyone in HHC at any point in time.
SparkzMusic hah so true
bridson10ak Has anyone got a download for this ? Is it available to buy ??
Samination Do anyone want it? XD

But to be honest, I rather listen to this than anything that came after.
Alex Threat I asked about this and Slide Away remix but got nothing back. would love both of them!
