my faves would be 94-95, just a big fan of the ruffer 4-beat hardcore and this year w/ those yummy raw elements releases & ham producing more =9

First of all great topic of conversation.. :)
I am going to have disagree with most people here, I think the finest year of Hardcore is going to be 2002, and beyond...
Some of the tracks I have on Dubplate from the likes of Kaos, Ethos, Frisky (ATM), Storm, Energy, and the rest the crew are absolutely amazing.. Hardcore is changing for the better.. :)
Just wait and see.
cheers

Hmm this is a damn hard question to respond to...I love it all so very very much.
I enjoy all the sounds of the different stages of happycore's developement. The more oldskool stuff is great. Love all the 4 beat stuff, but as I look through my collection I'd have to say the bigest time was in 96-97, so many big killer tracks released.
The year of 2001 was kind of interesting i heard alot of stuff i liked but i also heard some releases and changes i didn;t much care for. I'd have to sorta agree with Rich though, it looks as though 2002 is going to be one hell of a good year for happycore, but you never know...
BTW Rich when are you gonna play another happycore set in the Peg?...been since January that i've gotten any happycore sets at the local parties :(

Justrich: well I would have agreed with you if the topic read "want will be the best year" of hardcore... I think 2002 holds such much it's going to be the summer of hardcore!

i not agree that 2002 is the best year of hardcore there are many good tunes but not the same caliber as the older tunes.

Ok, So.. I Got A New Question For Ya All Then.. If 96 Is Yer Fav' Year...
What Would You Say Was The Biggest Tune For You That Year.. And Why ??
I Gotta Agree, 96 as A Classic Year.. Good Choonz Coming Out Every Day, The Events Were Absolutely Packed, The Vibe Was High And EVERYONE Was Buzzing Off Those Happy Vibes !!!
=o)
But, What Was Yer Fav Choon In 96 !!!
Badboy,

The best year for happy hardcore has been and probably always will be 95 all these new happy hardcore tunes really suck shit!
..._/-Cummin' up like a 747-\_... |

Well, I Agree N Disagree With That..
I Agree In As Much As 95/96 Rocked, And That I Dont Favour The NewStyle Hardcore As Opposed To The Old 4Beat Stuff, With Classics Such As Toytown, Party Time, Motorway Madness, etc.. Who can Blame Me..
Dont Get Me Wrong.. I Think That The Hardcore That Is Been released today Is Great, And The Production Quality On Most Of It Is Second To None At The Moment,
However Its Lost That Ruffer Edge It Seemed To Have In The Early Days.. Shame Someone Doesnt Bring That Back A Little..
Call Me Synical But, I Miss Those Break Beat Riffs Of Yesteryear.. It Doesnt Always Have To Be One Kickdrum !
But Anyways, I Guess Nowadays Everyones Gettin Hung Up On The "Happy" So Much, They Sometimes Forget About The "Hardcore"
Dont Mean To Piss No One Off, But.. Thats My Oppinion !
=o)

As far as that goes have you heard any of the new stuff on KFA records from LUNA-C and crew? Probably some of the freshest music I've heard from any scene in a long time. Totally breakbeat and hardcore, you really need to check it out if you haven't heard these tunes.

I think the middle of the 90's=94-95-96.
When the heavy underground house was growing to more commercial house like eurodance and so on.When the commercial Happyhardcore also founded gabber. But then the Rockmusic slamt in(Skaters!!!).
