I personally find the boring hardstlye influences super lackluster compared to actual hardcore sounds. Hoping he will produce some serious vocal hardcore still..
DJ D-Luc-D
Yeah as expected, does nothing for me
Samination
Well, i've always thought that Hardstyle was just slowed down Hardcore.
IF anything, I actually like this version. Much more than whatever orbt1 actually made before leaving hardcore
robertybob
It's better than I thought it was going to be.
Are we sure it's meant to be a UK hardcore track or did he just turn up the tempo on the mixer? It's just been uploaded by someone claiming it to be a UKHc track.
brodster
I like it, Sam's still got it

unless he played around with the stems, that didnt sound pitched up, a pitch bend of +10% is very noticable, especially on vocals

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaah bouy, its like uk hardcore without all the j-core shit making it sound like your listening to a megadrive game coming out a PA system
Elipton
I liked it tbh, and I'd be buzzing if I was in that crowd.
I know there's pre-conceptions on a track having this style of structure and lead, but I've never had an issue with the style and feel like it's a breath of fresh air after the lax 2011-2013 period.
djDMS
57% less shit than expected
wong
thats not bad at all that.
trippnface
Definitely think it is an improvement over the dub/electrocore era; 100% .
I suppose I was just holding him to legendary standards.. if Orbit1 said he was gunna make UK hardcore again; I was thinking....
someone else kind of shared my thoughts : "Why does this sound like every UK hardcore track lately lol "
just sounds like Audiofreq doing a mainstream modern darren styles approach at hardcore.. which is watered down audiofreq style; pretty much.
Really reminds me of scott brown mix from HHU2; super heavy with the hardstyle sounds. nothing wrong with a few different directions i guess. I could personally never get down to a set with tracks like that though. vibes are all wrong.
I think i misunderstood what he wrote though.
He said : Almost finished another UK Hardcore track for HTID in the Sun!! Here's a little sneak peak of whats to come!
so I don't think that track in question was the uk hardcore track... but it kind of seems like that is what he is going to do.
fan person - "Are u going to use Orbit 1? "
Orbit1 : " no. I don't believe in aliases. "
lol... ok then.. could of sworn he said he was going to be making uk hardcore under Orbit1 again; but i guess he meant he was just going to use Orbit 1 name ; and the UK hardcore genre; to further the current sound all the big boys are pushing. lol.
You can check his FB for the post he made
**aight guess i jumped the gun ; what he said originally was :
"About to finish my first UK hardcore tune in like 8 years. Feels weird man. "
He never said anything about Orbit1. that should have alerted me. Like modern day Gammer making more " happy hardcore"
the plan was to produce " uk hardcore" under Audiofreq; always.
100% less cool than Orbit1 making uk hardcore.
false alarm
i wish i could edit that title....

I love you; but we definitely gurn to different shit ;p
defo diggin the tracks and sound in that mix you linked there more lol
djDMS
Definitely nothing new, but I don't think anybody was seriously expecting him to come along and save the scene
Samination
If they did, then they where delusional as ****. There's a bigger chance of DJ Seduction coming back to do that than Orbit1. He wasnt THAT big of a name, if you include how ****ing much Darwin & Fracus are currently being considered big (outside these parts).
No, personally, Sam was MUCH better when he was The Acolyte than he was Orbit1, he just jumped on the UK Hardcore bandwagon back then, just like you're saying he's jumping on the DS bandwagon right now.

If that is the case, then it's an upgrade from the standard modified Pop Trance!

Orbit1
Hi!
I was requested by an events organisation to do "Infinite" in a very particular style. Its not meant to be innovative, just catchy, uplifting and current.
I'm just doing music I like. I make music for me and for my sets. Thats always been my ethos. I don't care too much for genre rules and you can clearly hear this in both my albums.
The next few ukhc tunes won't be the same as "Infinite" though, they'll be closer to the choppy orbit1 style from 2008/09.
I won't be releasing any ukhc as orbit1 as I don't believe in aliases any more. Audiofreq is all genres that I do from trance to dubstep and drum & bass and hardcore.

In that case I'm intrigued to hear what's next. :)

Kudos for the personal statement. Something I'd love to see more in such a small scene...

Haha this^

if you ask me Cascada was the worst that happened to hardcore, much more so than the dubcore or hardstyle influnces.
Thought ,I can't deny that "What Hurts the Most" is a good song.
MC Deecee
Not bad, although it falls into the same category of practically every single track made within the last little while in that that it's that same f--king synth or lead or whatever's it's called as everything new uses, seriously it's like everyone went oh Darren's styles and stonebank are making stuff that's sounds like this, let's ALL copy.

I'd settle for anything like the stuff you did that featured on the Hardcore Addiction albums. Hell, even your bootleg remixes were good (Fascination!) .
How is Orbit1 pronounced? Orbit-one, or something else? I think there was a discussion here about it a while back but I can't remember what the concencus was.
MC Deecee
Ahh, didn't realise there was a second page, having now seen the above quote I retract my previous statement.
lurker
Am I crazy? This doesn't sound too far off from a later Orbit1 track- hell, the lead might as well have been lifted from one. The arrangement's a little simpler to fit more in line with the times but not to the point where it's copying a DS track or anything.
Elipton
That remix of Fascination was a ****ing anthem.
Interesting reply. You can't begrudge a producer doing what he enjoys, and usually the best music is made that way.

What a cool guy! Hope for more new hardcore from Audiofreq

Orbit1 tunes with Inverse were epic and the most recent Smack with Silver.
