Udio is fun to use in its own way.
But you do lose a whole heap of control (right now). But then that also part of the charm because you never know what creative extension it could come up with.
You can put painstaking hours into it to get some of that control back (which is what I often wind up doing) but then it becomes a bit more of a grind but also with more reward when something finally gets pulled off though.
But also there's literally no chance of me making something this good in a DAW. I've already tried before in the past. It's a different skill set that not everyone has.

Just stick to Mario Paint Composer.
More seriously I find no enjoyment and get bored when I try generating music or images from text prompts. So much more freedom with a DAW or tracker, no matter its age.

AI should be treated as a tool, not something to make your artistry non-existing.

Just about on-topic - code music in your browser:
https://strudel.cc/ Example of how to use this to write a track here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkgV_-nJOuE Just need to setcpm(180/4) instead of (140/4), job done :d

It's a nice idea but when people can write a prompt and have an AI generate them a flawless blockbuster movie, will people care about Hollywood any more? It'll probably either replace or destroy the industry. Theatre and live performances will become even moreso the high brow medium, and digital slop will be for the plebs (if it isn't already).

https://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=110945 Vocal is AI Generated. I just used the vocal stem and remixed it using Cubase 13. I did have a little input on the lyrics. I used Suno.

I’m guessing Cubase 15 is just around the corner. It’s basically a yearly subscription now. Must’ve upgraded from 13 to 14 less than 12 months ago.
