Back in the 1990s I loved vinylgroover, his mixes were some of my favs. He dropped off into hard house with Trixxy but came back and he is still brilliant at what he does.
His label The World Of Obsession Recordings are releasing some right bangers, either by Vinylgroover himself or other artists. I have noticed that he has put a harder kick on his new track and I love it! rather than some other releases knocking about where the kicks just drown everything out, this is done so good.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard this yet?

This is literally what happened to Clubland Xtreme Hardcore.
Tracks barely have time to build up until it has to drop into a minimalistic style, and I find it friggin annoying.

each to their own, sometimes less is more. I thought some positivity here would be a good thing,

won't deny that I might've scared away a few because of my negativity, but even without that, this forum is sadly verily underused.
Even if Silver were to modernize it, I doubt it'll pull in many new users :(

Absolute sheeeet.
1) the vox. Same old same old. Is it a chart ripoff or something? It's been done to the death and beyond.
2) the lead. Some leads were getting stale but this is at the top of that list. The melody isn't much to write home home either, same old.
3) the drop. Boring.
This is basically the sound down to a t (or the sound just after) hardcore died out. It's not the Vinylgroover we all liked. Might as well put Stonebank (or similar) as the artist and nobody would have a clue. Even then though, they've even mostly moved on from that template crap.
Maybe Vinylgroover has only just learned how to create that sound?

Yeah heard this track recently. It's an euphoric hardstyle track imo. The style of track reminds of Art of Creation artist JGSW.
This style of hardstyle is something I've been meaning to comment on. It starts with the intro with euphoric/uplifting style, then moves onto a section with a hard hitting kick before the breakdown. Have often wondered why there is a hard kick so early in the track. Have heard this in other hardstyle tracks including from JGSW. After breakdown is the main euphoric and usual hardstyle kick and hardstyle synth riff section.
Regarding the track, overall it's ok.

Big up the VG!
Good to see him back in hardcore action.
Have to say, though, I much prefer his “Up Yours”, “Just For You”, Smiley Choons “Soothe Your Soul” sounds!
Legend!!

But is it even him?
Back in the day and not so day, artists were unique. You knew roughly as soon as the tracking started who actually did it. VG had his own unique sound (as did kaos, fade and bananaman etc). Then came the UK hardcore wave where you knew the artist by the sound. Even with unreleased stuff that's heard for the first time at a rave, it was obvious who the artist was.
With this it just could be anyone. Nothing defines the sound from most other artists these days. So much so it seems like it's either a generic template or someone else has done it for him and his name have been stamped on it (with his approval).
VG was a legend. These days that status is only given because of past work. It's not fresh, new or that interesting, just a name that's been placed on a track to bring in publicity based on said name.

Vinylgroovers unique sound back then was Trixxy. :P
*(or Chris Grayston if you go back further)
