I'm very curious
as i mentioned in the 'how old is everyone' string.. i have a little brother, who very much enjoys hardcore... he's turning 12 in a few days... he's really actually pretty mature for his age (he has a tendency to hang out with myself and my friends more than anything i spose)... i'm 18 as was also mentioned
in any event, off the top of my head, i'm thinking another couple years at least.... 14/15 maybe.. before i take him to a party, if for nothing else, than to gain a little physical stature so he's not bumped around too much if it's busy ;)
but!!! the question is! :)
around what age do you guys think is an ok time, to bring the lil feller to a party?

Yeah about 14/15 is a good time I think.
Most raves you can smuggle a 12 year old in but 12 is far too young!!!

if there is one thing i hate, it's seeing all these damn little kids running around at parties cracked out. just irratates the hell out of me, they should be at home playing with he-man, transformers, and g i joe (or whatever they play w/ now a days =P) i personally would never let my child go to a party until they were atleast 15.
because as we all know, there is a time and place for experimenting, it's called college =P

I went to my first rave at 15. It was an experience I'll never forget. 15 is a good age because your old enough to blend in. Any younger and they wouldn't understand every thing going on around them.

I have a little sister who just turned 16 a few months ago and as much as i would love it for her to be involved in the rave scene...i don't want her in it just yet...my reasoning is because I started going to parties around her age and the majority of the kids i see running around at parties now at 15/16 are the kids that are there just because they think they can score all kinds of cool drugs and usually end up running around not being able to handle thier shit. I honestly don't see very many younger kids at parties dancing and making new friends...I see them all huddled together in E-piles on the floor. I don't want that to happen to my sister. And I know for her that's what would happen. I want her to get into the scene because of the music. So for now I think i'm going to stick to letting her hit up a few drug free house parties I spin at and let her enjoy the music...and truely expierence the very heart and soul of the scene...the music. Heh..untill then she'll just have to wait untill she's just a lil bit older for the real thing.. but that's just my opinion on the topic... whew a long entry from me..

In general I think most people start around 16 or 17 years of age.
However when a person is able to handle themselves at a party depends on that individual and their level of maturity.
There are some people as young as 14 that i can see being fine at a party (in general though this is much to young), yet at the same time there are some 18+ out there who still aren't mature enough to handle themselves and IMO shouldn't be allowed into parties :P
Since I know your lil bro pretty well i think he'll be mature enough to come out with us in the next 2 or 3 years. I think the bigger facter won't be how mature he is, but rather whether or not your mom is gonna let her lil baby go to a party...

It really depends on the maturity of the person in question but I think no younger than 14 for a real rave. I'd say younger if it was a house party but thinking about all the house parties me and my friends put on there's no way I'd want a youngin' there to witness all that craziness!

actually it's funny... as DG said, he knows my bro.. and he'll prolly be ok in a couple years
but i have no worries about him going and becoming an E-tard
my only worry is that he's just physically too little to blend in atall! lol
though i have a feeling that galz would luv him.. lol
anyhoo.. yeah it'll easily be till he's 14/15 at least :)

Well im 14, and i hang bowt wit 16,17,18 yar olds and we always go to raves.
Maybe its coz i hang bout wit older ppl??? but i defo dont sit on the floor making a dick outa maself. + if u sit on the floor at the raves we go to then ud get trampled!!!!
