in the paper therew is a copy of cubase and it's full manual running on an atari machine alltogether it costs 30 quid do u reckon this wud b a good buy?

as long as you can plug outboard gear into it then it'll be fine. but you'll have to put up with it being in black and white.

i don't think you could knock out industry standard tunes on it coz of the processing power,you couldn't import a wave file for a start.

but it's a good idea to get some ideas down and then you can upgrade to a pc running cubase and improve on the tune

Atari is just a MIDI out / in box... they are real old... I don't recommend it, it would be better to buy a new hardware midi squencer for like 50 quid.

not just with an atari,even with a pc you need good outboard gear to make a good tune. with an atari or pc you've got general midi but it's crap on it's own

thats not exactely true though, because the buzz tracker and vst plugins simulate outboard gear very well.
