the issues in NI are (not just) but mainly down to the fact we own northern ireland still. the dissidents want it back, they dont want british rule and there are those extremists amongst them that will go to these lengths
at least thats what i hear is the long and short of it.
it's sad they have to target innocents though and then try and justify that with something that has nothing to do with the average Brit on the street who will end up being the victims. Target the government if they're the ones stopping them, not us on the street who are indifferent to Ireland. Why do we own Northern Ireland anyway? If they want independence let them have it.
But bombing us doesn't exactly help their cause, we don't really care about Ireland one way or the other but trying to kill us isn't exactly gonna make us very sympathetic to their cause. I don't think I want anything to do with a country that thinks it's okay to do stuff like that.
Not ranting at you here Triq, just think the whole thing is a bit ridiculous.

don't worry, I understand entirely, and completly agree with you! :)
sadly its not as clean cut an issue as "well let em have it back then" because there are (irish) people and politicians there who do want to be part of the UK.
otherwise I'm sure there wouldn't be so much an issue just handing it back like we have done with other countries in the past...

Of course it's rediculous. If these idiots had any clue about what is right they wouldn't be doing it.

Correct, the n.i government is mainly unionist so obviously they wish to remain part of the union, but republicans and nationlists are have got more power now and they hope to be running the government in the future, and then we'll be free
