all depends how much money it is that you'll have. it's no ppoint getting direct drives with not many vinyls. build up a massive vinyl collection, and then when you have enough money, go for a good set of direct drives. are you looking at firstor second hand directs? and how much will you have?

£250 will get you nothing. brand new directs you're looking at least £400. second hand you won't get technics or verstax for anything near £250. maybe save a bit harder, don't rush into buying a new set of decks, as waiting for more money will guarantee you a happier man.

Even for low end directs you're looking to pay around £400 like happyraveuk said, thats what mine cost me - but then a i bought them off a mate who threw in an amp + Speakers to go with it. best place to go would be richer sounds, bout as cheap as your gonna get.

The Best deal is: two Numark Pro TT 2's off of eBay. They're about $300 a peice, brand new. The TT2 can go toe to toe with a 1200 any day.
