I haven't spoken with Jon for some time now. Not sure what's going on with HU. I do recall him making a few posts this past Hogmanay saying he was back and the label would be starting up again this year. Minus one or two album releases via their store at the turn of the year, we haven't heard too much. Maybe things are percolating behind the scenes?
But what Fracus and Darwin doing their thing now with Brutal Kuts and Music Blocks, I'm not entirely sure what the future holds for HU. |

I was in regular contact with CDJay as of April including a very long phone call. However things went quiet from that point apart from 1 email reply in May. I've continued to work through Warped Science as promised however the server is totally down as I can not access to upload fixes / changes.
Really annoyed being ignored after all the work and hours I've put in. Also I ordered a CD in May which still hasn't arrived.
Will try reaching out again. |

I sent him a message letting him know the website was down along with a link to this thread. It was read but no replies yet.
I'm not the only one in the dark in this situation sadly.
I sent an email a couple of months ago saying I'll do Warped Science then no more. As I can't deal with the unstable nature of things.
My brain is always on full power when I'm working on something and if I'm blocked from completing my goals because of lack of communication I just can't carry on because I'll just end up getting upset that I cannot finish what I started.
I was ready to give HU my all. I was excited for what could be done and was even suggesting new catalogues to be done. Really hoping deals could be struck. Sadly nothing happened and everything went quiet. Tried to request now removed projects be returned to the store but that didn't happen too.
If they return I will complete Warped Science. But will go no further.

No Digital version of Hardcore Renegade? Apparently Dougal has forgotten that most of the early EPP releases were on IMOdownload.
Sadly, what I got is a 256kb/s MP3, which makes me believe it's originally a protected WMA file that I transcoded to MP3 :(
As IMOdownload only sold protected WMA (which I don't know the bitrate of, but the files were smaller than a 256kb/s MP3), 192kb/s and 320kb/s MP3. |

Lethal Theory used to be great but then they went premium which basically meant overcharging for a handful of tracks behind subscription that pretty much killed them off. Joey continued with the "not so powerstomp 3" album and this latest one, I don't know what that was supposed to be.
HU again, god knows what's happening but they haven't been on the ball for years so expect nothing to avoid disappointment i guess. |

Ok so I'm done. Tried making contact. Message read but no reply.
Al said he would call on Tuesday night to get answers. I asked if there were any updates the next day. No reply.
So yeah. Don't buy anything physical because you won't get it.
I'm no longer part of HU.
Official stuff sucks. Lesson learned. Always do catalogues unofficially. |

Not from what I can see. Darwin posts links to Brutal Kuts stuff in the group but that's about it.
Fracus is no longer a part of or part owner of HU. He gave up his share in January. |

Oh I did the USB late last year. Was a real pain but happy to have it done. Never got the new fixes Kevin mentioned in November last year. Either way I brought all the missing / incorrect stuff. |

I'm hoping the store comes back online. I spent a pretty penny to have the cloud downloads for stuff I know you can't get anywhere else (TNC and Sharkey Catalog etc..)..
I know nothing lasts forever and I got everything on a drive...Better do more backups just in case I guess |

Doesn't surprise me. I had to argue with Kevin about releasing the mix for his new album in WAV.
He gave the old I can't hear a difference on my studio speakers excuse. Eventually got it released though.
Tbh I'm only missing the Nu Energy 100 mix. Mainly because I don't want to pay what he is asking just to get the mix.

despite not being able to hear above 16kHz anymore, even I would find that excuse to be in poor taste. If they want us to pay premium for their track, at least we we should get CD quality! |

It doesnt say +digital on the lethal theory website shop but i collect cds so digital is no good for me and i dont really mix so not botherd about full length either.

Since the beginning of the year HU were doing his posting. However nothing has been shipped for months.
I got a PayPal refund for the uproar live CD I ordered in May.

HU is still active. I think as with all things real life has slowed processes but to my knowledge, it's still going.

AoS is doing his own thing now. He is just as in the dark as everyone else. Contacting him about your order will not change anything because he can't help either.

I've put loads of time in to stuff for them to be ignored. It's not fair and I'm not gonna sit quietly. I've been burned by this scene too much as a customer to accept this. Now being burned as someone who wants to ensure people can access music they want in the best quality.
Maybe people don't care as much as I do. Genuinely feels like that.
I ordered a CD. It didn't arrive. According to the site when it was up it didn't ship. Site is now no longer there. FTP also dead.
I could go further and bring up other things that they were so post to do. But I don't because mainly I care about the people getting what they purchased and being happy. |

The upsetting feeling of disappointment is awful and I have had it too many times.
I started doing this from Lethal Theory being delivered in the worst state possible. I was so upset. Yet after 15 months with loads of help from friends we turned it around. Anyone who buys that now can feel safe knowing it's the best it can be.
It's why I've lead so many of these projects.
Wish stuff just came right. Honestly when something arrives right it makes me very happy and I only want others to feel that and not disappointment. |

One of the most passionate people in the scene doesn't go quiet unless they're working through whatever they need to. He's done an awful lot for the scene over the years, so I think we owe him a bit of patience, trust and privacy.
Appreciate that a few people are disappointed. I think we know CDJay well enough to know he's not making malicious or negligent decisions. |

I agree his personal life is personal. I just feel like if things were on hold a simple message saying things are on hold should of been sent. I don't need details. Just some form of communication.
My brain never stops. If I'm working on a project it's on my mind 24/7. If I would of been told directly things were on hold that would of saved a lot of time and anxiety. I've had trauma in my life with being ignored. When it happens I become very stressed. I was even having nightmares about the situation. That's why I had to walk away. Whereas a simple message from him would of prevented that.
Not saying I need a reply in 30 seconds. But it's been months. |

are you saying the orginal USB of this was not the real deal? i bought it last december from Joey's page.
I sent the final changes to Joey in April Last year so should be ok. If you look in the early releases and find a dynamic master folders it's the one I did.
