I'd say the part about recognition is what killed HU as well. Despite all of CDJay's own work, everyone else who have bigger names shun him (except for Ganar, that guy seems to think he could demand Styles money because he's on an album)

So that Warped Science bundle will be different/remastered compared to the one sold through 24/7 before?

Presumably that means it'll never see the light of day...? Even just the mixes leaked digitally with some artwork? lol :D
Anyway, for your own part, MusicILove, I do feel bad. I know you've done a crazy amount of work over the years for different labels and different projects with (seemingly?) little to no official recognition (although maybe I just missed it
The Warped Science bundle is different from the last one yes.
It contains a lot more tracks in lossless although not all still. A few tracks have been remastered because the only master was in MP3 but the unmastered WAV was found. There is more content. Including a never before released mix or 2. There is all the content from Warped Science Digital, Baby Warped, and Warped Exclusive. If you want full tracklist including what is MP3 source I can post on my Discord. Doing photos on here is a pain.
It's the best version of the bundle we could do. Unless something else comes up before the few masters I'm waiting for are done.
Sadly yes. HU9 will never see the light of day and I doubt the people involved would leak the mixes. Especially as they won't even tell me what's happened.
Nope you haven't missed it. As far as I know there is no credit given to anything I've been a part of. Joey said he would send me a few things that never happened. That was over a year ago. My hope is that Al will at least give some credit once the Warped Science bundle is done.
I have also worked on some other labels that aren't publicly available. Rebuild Music being one. As I paid Thumpa for the collection and got a complete mess with missing content and MP3s of the CDs. Luckily friends of mine had the Physical CDs and most of the missing tracks that we were able to make it better. Entity even donated a remaster of his tracks that would be released on Brutal Kuts for the project.
Haven't handed that one over to Thumpa because of reasons.

Correction. Ganar didn't want more money. He thought he had been had. As he was expecting regular payments from HU from the album. However they only paid every 6 months. In January and July. He wasn't aware of this and kicked off thinking he wasn't getting paid. His track was then removed from the album due to the trouble he caused HU as angry people and artists thought they weren't paying artists.
This is unfortunately something that Joey also parroted. And he should of known better having done work with HU since 2013.
CDJay was given very little credit for what he did. However I'm not going to say he was perfect. There was a lot of management and communication issues in HU. One arm didn't know what the other was doing. These mistakes led to all the problems it had from 2013. I was trying to push changes like a universal doc or discord server where everyone could post what their doing and what needs to be done and decisions and such. However like many other things it didn't happen.
There was a lot of dreams at HU. However this lead to trying to take on too much and management not being able to keep up with what was going on. CDJay and the team did a lot of good. They got messed around and screwed a whole not. But they didn't help themselves. Some other major things happened to cause things to go really wrong. Out of their control. So I'm not blaming them. It's just a story where everyone had their part to play. A story where I wish I would of joined sooner as I was willing to give all my energy to resuscitate the label.

HU as a label was never really my cup of tea (I was already tired with most "mainstream" UK hardcore already with Bonkers 11), but they efforts in trying to preserve history with Completionist Bundles was and will always be a valiant effort.

They were the last label still releasing Hardcore CD albums. So it really seems to finally be the end of the DJ mix era on CDs now.
Bonkers, Hardcore Heaven, Hardcore Underground, Hardcore Nation, United Dance, Clubland Xtreme Hardcore, Wow What A Rush, Absolute Hardcore, etc all defunct CD series.
Yeah the hardcore underground podcsats, i used to listen to these years ago! How to you go about listening to them? Trying to remember what i listened to them through back in the day, soundcloud maybe

I was so post to be part of it but CDJay ghosted me from around June last year.
Meanwhile I continued to work on catalogues. As I didn't know anything and no one would give me any solid answers.
Al Storm has the remaining HU CD stock. So if you want any of the old CDs 24/7 hard store is the place to go. Apart from Upfront & Vocal Again. Which Al has a box of however Dy5oN also has stock on and will be doing bundles with his new album. Which will be available on his Bandcamp soon.
New Warped Science bundle coming soon. Just waiting for a few masters then it'll be ready. It's much better than the original.
As for what happened here's what I know.
HU9 was pretty much done mix wise. However they were having issues with World Of Obsession which is part of Tidy.
Then some Royal Mail stuff happened then it all went quiet. There are people who know more but won't say.
I considered CDJay a friend and so is very disappointing that he just left me in the dark to continue working on stuff. If he knew it was ending a message saying it's over and don't carry on would of been nice. I spent hundreds of hours on Warped Science. And spent money to get it done.
TLDR
It's dead give up hope. Go buy from Dy5oN & Al Storm if you want mixes on CD. Dy5oN's new album will be a mixed CD.
I personally have stepped away from hardcore mostly. The Force & Styles box set is the very last hardcore thing I'm buying. I still enjoy mixing it however I no longer like the majority of newer music. I get much more joy out of playing the classics. Force & Styles is really the final hole in my collection to fill.
I have a little side project on the go however it's 90s happy hardcore stuff and there is no pressure if nothing comes of it.
Got dy50n new cd a few months ago, it actually says HUAACD13 on the sleeve of it, which i was surprised by.
