well, I rap.

Its find it really annoy people saying that rap sux, or rock sux (I'm into all styles of music except for Opera, Country Music, and Black Music).

GregE - there will never be peace in the middle east, its a religion thing, Jews believe that the land from the Euphrates is the promise land, and the Muslims want to convert the world to Islam.

But rap is cool, lyrical tricks are cool. I have friend who wrote a song call V.I.B.E. which has 4 verses, kinda like an acrostic, except that its really a huge tongue twister....

some of the rap stuff's really cleverly put together. if it's good music then I'll happily listen to it, no matter what genre it is. there's a new "fabulous" album that's pretty cool

Rap can be good sometimes. For the most part I like the old '90's gangsta rap like Dre & Snoop better than whats out now, but I've learned I can listen to just about anything and enjoy myself.

the rap and hiphop scene over here is pretty large, but not as big as u guys got it over there (which if i'm being honest i ave to say i'm pretty glad about i can't stand that stuff, but hey, music is a matter of opinion and thats only mine.)

If pac-man really had an effect on us, we'd be runnin' round in dark rooms with repetitive music eating pills!!!

Personally I feel it shortsighted to limit yourself to one particular genre of music. Going more for the appreciation and degree of difficulty is more fair in my view.

Having said that though,

Bone Thugs n Harmony, Tupac, et al.
